It has a hard hitting twin hammer mechanism made of triple heat treated Ni-Cr-Mo alloy steel for maximum durability and power. The 1680-A has the patented AIRCAT exhaust "silencing technology" which reduces the noise to 89 dBA - making it the quietest 3/4" impact on the market. In addition it also has the patented AIRCAT handle grip for the ultimate in user comfort. The 1680-A was built for the toughest applications on trucks. buses.
